Favourite thing to do in my job: I love to try new things, and to be able to exaplain science to others. Its great fun to find out how things work and come up with solutions to problems we have, or things which might be a problem in the future e.r. supply of clean water.
-
My Work: I research how water can be made clean using tiny little filters called membranes

In my work I try to seperate out food from water – this may sound easy but it becomes a very big challenge when the food sticks to the filter. We want to remove the food from water becuse it has lots of energy meaning bugs, bacteria and algae can grow…..and we dont want those sort of things to be in rivers or come out of our taps!
-
My Typical Day: No 2 days are the same. Sometimes I’m in the lab, sometimes I analyse data on the computer and other days I tell people about science.
-
What I'd do with the prize money: I would use the money to create a really fun exhibit that people could play with and learn more about science.
