      Great question Agentzm,

The best thing about this area of science? That’s a tough one. There are a lot of really great areas of science and so many Important questions which scientists are trying to find the answers to. I think water is interesting because we need it for absolutely everything. Being able to do research to ensure we can have clean water supplies in the future is a great privilege, and I really like being able to do something that will help lots of different people.

Some I interesting things I’ve got to do? Visiting the niagra falls has to be up there at the top! I got to go there last September while I was telling other scientists about the latest work I’d done. It was absolutely amazing to see so much water falling at once. I’ve got to meet some pretty important people like the scientific adviser to the government as well as talk to some schools and tell them why I enjoy science. Ive been able to take part in a few competitions and I’ve been round a few factory’s and wastewater plants. This year I’ve been given the chance to go to China and Finland if I want to so there are great opportunities to travel too……and discovering things that absolutely no one else has ever discovered is pretty cool too! 🙂

      Hi guys!

Tricky question. I think for me the best thing about this field is showing just how valuable water is to us. I mean without it we’d be pretty screwed. My research looks at cars which could one day run off water. I get to show that we not only owe our entire existence to water, but that it could save our planet too. If we could use water instead of fossil fuels we won’t pollute the atmosphere with nasty chemicals and carbon dioxide, which can lead to global warming.

I’ve had so many great experiences from being in science. One of the best ones most recently was going to a conference in the South of Spain. When I was there I not only met some important scientists, but I also got to visit one of the Sultan’s palaces (think Aladdin!) which was awesome! I’ve also done lots of things like make ice-cream from liquid nitrogen, visit a nuclear power plant, got right up next to a wind turbine (they are massive!) and so much more! Science is great for opportunities, there are so many around and they are all over the world.
