      Great question holliejxx!

Most scientists make pretty small discoveries rather than great big ones, so I’ve had a few discoveries which may seem pretty small and insignificant when you compare them to discoveries by the likes of Einstein, never the less they are still important!

The most recent discovery I have made is that it is possible t remove food from wastewater using membranes (small filters) – this is pretty important as it means both the water and food products can be reused and makes the world a little bit less wasteful.

Another discovery I made was how to make diffferent shapes from silica (same material as sand) – depending on the way it is processed can influence the shape and structure it makes, and I discovered some new ones which can help it to be much more useful so that was kinda fun!

      Hi guys!

I’ve not been researching for very long, so no major discoveries yet! My main discovery so far is probably proving that some of my materials do not work.

This isn’t as exciting as finding something which does work but it’s still important. If other scientists know that something doesn’t work then they won’t spend lots of time researching what you already have. Instead they can look at different things which might turn out to be successful!
